Mitsubishi’s standard Industrial Modems are designed and built for use in typical industrial environments, where standard PC modems may struggle to function or face a shortened operational life. The Mitsubishi Industrial Modems (MIM) have models for connection to both PSTN and GSM telephone networks. The MIM modems are controlled using standard AT-commands and have up to 50k of additional RAM for storing user data. All MIM modems can send and receive SMS messages, making it possible for the connected device to send status reports, fault information and general operational data. In addition the PSTN models have added capabilities for sending and receiving Express E-Mail enabling greater volumes of data to be handled.
